Kirsten Hasberg is a researcher and consultant on the digitization of the energy transition based in Berlin and Copenhagen. She helps companies and public entities navigate the changing energy markets at the intersection of business development, policy analysis and public affairs, currently with a special focus on the application of blockchain technology in the energy sector. As a PhD fellow at Aalborg University Copenhagen, she focuses on institutional and regulatory aspects of peer-to-peer electricity markets in “The Energy Collective” research project. She is an energy advisor to the BlockchainHub Berlin, part of the energy working group of the German Blockchain Association and a co-founder of the German blockchain-based electricity retailer StromDAO. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and has 10 years of experience in the Danish and German energy industry with a particular focus on energy market designs enabling 100 % renewable energy systems.
